Anna is an articulate, compelling and lucid speaker, and especially inspires young people to know that they, too, can make a difference.
"—Nina Simons, Co-Producer, Bioneers Conference
Anna’s event at Norwalk Community College was a huge success. Our forum was filled to capacity and Anna gave a superb talk. A number of students came up to me afterwards and told me how moving her talk had been. I have no doubt that these kinds of events can truly be transformative ones in their lives. For the sake of our planet, let's hope so! Our sincere thanks to Anna for coming to our college and we hope to have her come back one day in the future!

Anna Lappe is a breath of fresh air in the food world. Her work links food production to the health of people, communities, and the planet. She is one of the few people focusing on the way food fits into the big picture of the world economy, climate change, and globalization. We need this kind of thinking."
"—Marion Nestle, Author Food Politics and Safe Food
It was truly a pleasure meeting you and hosting your visit as our Cressman Lecturer. You were so generous with your time and energy. Everyone you came into contact with got a great deal from interacting with you. We had so many good comments from the audience, and several of the students and faculty members who had a chance to meet with you made a point of thanking me for including them in your visit.
"—Julia Heydon, Associate Director, Oregon Humanities Center at the University of Oregon
We had so much fun with Frances! Send her back to us, please! She presented an inspiring talk on Thursday that kept everyone glued to their seats. Students continued the conversation with her afterward until 10:45pm (we began at 8pm). I’ve never seen someone evoke such energy from our students. She also gave wonderful answers in the classes she attended and the Homestead students loved meeting her.
"—Marlaine Browning, Program Coordinator, Denison University
The latest issue of our alumni magazine featured the student president, Kristina Alvarez, of the Environmental Club - who said your talk in Intro to Environmental Studies was a big factor in her decision to major in it!
